Print & build guide

Everything you need to get a clean result

Good paper and a sharp blade make more difference than anything else.

Which paper should I use?
  • Covers & structure: matte cardstock or matte photo paper, about 160–200 gsm (65–80 lb).
  • Interior pages: thin paper, about 80–100 gsm (20–24 lb), so the little books can actually flip.
  • Avoid glossy paper: it can smudge and makes glue harder to work with.
Printer settings
  • Print at 100% / “Actual size”. Never “Fit to page”, or the pieces will no longer match the scale.
  • Choose the highest quality and the paper type that matches what you loaded.
  • Do a test print of one page first, then print the rest.
  • Let the ink dry for a few minutes before cutting or folding.
Tools
  • Sharp craft knife (or small scissors) and a cutting mat
  • Metal ruler for straight cuts and scoring
  • White PVA glue or a good glue stick, plus a toothpick to apply it neatly
  • Bone folder or a dried-out pen for crisp folds
  • Tweezers for the tiniest parts

Tips for a neat build
  • Score fold lines with a ruler before folding.
  • Use less glue than you think. Thin layers dry flat and clean.
  • Change your blade often; a dull blade tears paper.
  • Take your time. It’s meant to be relaxing, not a race.

About

Hi, I'm Jesu!

I spend way too many hours with tweezers in hand, making tiny things look real. I design every kit to look like the real thing, print crisp on a regular home printer, and come with clear step-by-step instructions, so you can actually make it, not just admire it.

Make it tiny. Make it real. ☀️
